What kind of people go to psychotherapy?

What kind of people go to psychotherapy?

  • -Brave ones, because it takes courage to face the parts of our personality we don't want to know about or find too painful to remember.
  • -Responsible ones, because they are aware that by not solving their own problems, they affect other people too.
  • -Humble ones, because they are aware that they don't know everything and that there are some things they simply cannot resolve on their own.
  • -Intelligent ones, because they know that a person is constantly learning, developing, and growing. They realize that the more they learn, the less they truly "know."
  • -Open-minded ones, because they know it is foolish to take oneself too seriously and to believe it is too late for change.
  • -Flexible ones, because they can step outside themselves and look at their own life from a different perspective.
  • -Wise ones, because they know that if they "don't pay now" and look the truth in the eye, they "will have to pay later."
  • -Humane ones, because they believe in humanity above all else.
  • -Strong ones, because they know that true strength lies in acknowledging and accepting one's own vulnerability.
  • -Thoughtful ones, because they know there are no shortcuts, instant solutions, or easy alternative.
